John McCain has ruined his reputation in recent years. Yeah, it will get worse. History will judge him poorly. But that doesn't help people today.
History will judge this whole era poorly, but that's no help to us right now. Our descendants may curse us for our inaction on climate change, alternate energy, and education, but if we're not smart enough to change course now, they'll still pay the price. We'll pay the price. And it's likely to be more than we can afford.
