Well, all this is interesting to me, anyway, and that's what matters here. The Internet is a terrible thing for someone like me, who finds almost everything interesting.

Christopher Hitchens thinking on his feet
Since we were just talking about Christopher Hitchens (in the comments here), I thought I'd post this brief video clip.
Apparently, this comes at the end of a debate between Hitchens and Frank Turek, but I'm not sure which debate it was. They debated twice (the first is here, and the second here), and I just don't have time to watch them now.
Thank you for that WCG. Not to belabor the topic, but "Does Atheism Poison Everything?", Sept. 2010, with Hitchens vs. David Berlinski, author of The Devil's Delusion, is a rousing good show. Hitch is in fine form and owns the audience throughout: http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/295467-1
p.s. If you partake in Podcasts, I believe you would enjoy a little known, but usually exceptional show called Poli-Sci-Fi Radio. The always thoughtful Steve Benen (Washington Monthly & Maddow's favorite) and Bill Simmon host. Bi-monthly, engaging conversion covering both Politics and Science Fiction.
Thanks, Anonymous. Yes, Hitchens does a great job with that debate, too. Unfortunately, he's looking very ill (which, of course, he is).
It's funny that Berlinski, his opponent, is a non-believer himself. Apparently, he just thinks religion is necessary for everyone else - all those people who aren't as capable or moral as he is, I guess.
And I might check out that podcast - it does sound interesting - but I usually have a hard time concentrating if I can't see the speakers. I find my mind wandering when it's audio only.
Actually, I find it easiest to concentrate on written discussions, so I might see if they offer a transcript of the podcast.
Thank you for that WCG.
