Well, all this is interesting to me, anyway, and that's what matters here. The Internet is a terrible thing for someone like me, who finds almost everything interesting.

No science at News Corp.
This video was produced by the Union of Concerned Scientists. Here's their report that goes along with it (note the pdf file, too).
Those charts show that 93% of Fox News coverage of climate science is misleading:
And 81% of climate science coverage in the Wall Street Journal is misleading:
This isn't by accident. This is a deliberate misrepresentation for political purposes - News Corp. pushing an agenda through lies, instead of reporting the news accurately.
But they not only have the money to do this (it's also no coincidence that the Republican Party pushes tax cuts for the rich), News Corp. actually makes money this way - gobs and gobs of money. They keep the ignorant, the fearful, and the gullible coming back for more and more lies, while real scientists struggle to get heard.
George Carling on the environment/climate change (and the "freak show"):

As far as the Republicans making money off of all this, if they had ANY sense, they would heed the words of the late, great John Lennon (yes, I know, fat chance):
Saving up your money for a rainy day
Giving all your clothes to charity
Last night the wife said
Oh boy when you're dead
You don't take nothing with you but your soul, THINK!!
