Religion: a reason for murdering your child

Ana is right. It's not all religion and it's not all believers. But think of how many times, when you hear about something like this, it turns out to be religion behind it.

Faith-based thinking is irrational, so with religion, it's just as easy to believe something crazy as it is to believe something that's sane. And either way, it's believed for the same reason: faith.

If you consider faith to be a valid reason for belief, how can you argue that someone else's faith, no matter how crazy it might be, isn't valid? After all, they have the same reason for believing that you do.
