Besides, this is the whole point to being faith-based - just believing what you want to believe. If you're still in the Republican Party after the past decade or so, there's simply no hope for you.
It's not that we have differing opinions, but we have different facts, too. Republicans get their 'facts' from the right-wing echo chamber, and anyone who contradicts them simply must be part of the conspiracy.
