Well, all this is interesting to me, anyway, and that's what matters here. The Internet is a terrible thing for someone like me, who finds almost everything interesting.

Jake Tapper: the difference between conspiracy theories and news stories
I'm not too familiar with Jake Tapper - and not especially fond of CNN in general - but here's another video clip I stumbled upon today. And I have to admit that I'm impressed.
Donald Trump doesn't seem to have intimidated these guys - not yet, at least. Of course, Trump's record low approval ratings might have something to do with that, I don't know. But I'm trying to praise Tapper here, not cast doubts on his motives. Nice job!
Still,... this is Donald Trump, a Republican so crazy that even Fox News calls him out on his lies:
Yes, that's Shep Smith, who's easily the best of the worst at Fox News, but nonetheless, this is unprecedented, isn't it? Have you ever heard Fox News say anything like this about another Republican, let alone a Republican president?
Sorry I haven't been commenting much lately. It takes time to swim through the river of shit gushing out of the White House (and I'm in shape, for crissakes!!).
ReplyDeleteAbout the Shep Smith thing: Is Faux "news" playing "good cop-bad cop," for lack of a better term? Shep criticizes Trump during the day, then Hannity and O'Reilly kiss his ass in the evening.
Last thing. Bill Maher: "The Magic (R):"

Thanks, Jeff. I certainly have my problems with Bill Maher, but when he's right, he's right. Indeed, I'll be posting that video.
ReplyDeleteShep Smith has impressed me before. He's too good for Fox News. That's not hard, of course, so I don't want to give him too much credit. He does still work there, after all. But I have to give him some credit. He's no Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity. Even at Fox News, they're still individuals.
And finally, don't worry about not commenting, if you're busy or just too dispirited at the state of our country. I haven't been posting regularly, and I won't be worrying about that. This isn't a job - for either of us!
PS. I finally got this pop-up comment system working (rather, Blogger finally fixed the bugs in it - hmm,... not all of them, apparently). I hope it works well for you. I was sick of that tiny comment window.
