Well, all this is interesting to me, anyway, and that's what matters here. The Internet is a terrible thing for someone like me, who finds almost everything interesting.

Porky Pig's Pledge of Allegiance
Notice anything unusual about that - other than the talking pig? Republicans would have hysterics if that was shown on television these days, wouldn't they? There'd be a complete meltdown at Fox 'News' for sure!
Judging by the patriotic tone of the cartoon, it was obviously made during WW2. We did quite well in that war despite not having those two magic words in the Pledge to help us gain divine favor. :)
