John F. Kennedy: Because it is there

"We choose to go to the Moon…not because it is easy, but because it is hard." You've heard that line. Have you heard the rest of the speech?

Actually, this isn't the full speech, either. Heh, heh. But this excerpt is great, isn't it?

We are either too busy arguing amongst ourselves or are too fascinated with Kim Kardashian's enormous butt ("heaven" help us, she's pregnant AGAIN). To top it all off, we're also too busy engaging in our favorite pastime...."The Great American Cash-Grab" as I call it.

The British have a phrase for our present condition: "navel-gazing;" self-importance bordering on narcissism.
