Ah, that President Obama can't do anything right, can he? How dare he be in South Korea - visiting the troops - for Veterans Day?
This would be funny, but there are too many people like Charles Hurt who've opposed everything Barack Obama has done since before the president was even elected. There is nothing he could do that would meet with their approval, since this is all politics all of the time.
This is not what George W. Bush encountered when first elected. Despite the controversy over the 2000 election, with the Supreme Court - in another 5-4 decision that's become notorious for bad judgment - choosing our president, there was a great deal of goodwill on both sides. Bush had to work to become so despised. It wasn't automatic.
If anyone is dishonoring veterans and Veterans Day, it's people like Charles Hurt who use the occasion for more political mudslinging. It's just a day like any other for them.
