The future's not quite what we expected, is it? Well, not yet. But there's still time, if we have the intelligence, the courage, and the resolve to move forward, instead of back.
The future looks bleak, in many ways. Even science fiction seems depressing, these days. I think popular culture is embracing fantasy instead, because it doesn't have to even seem real.
But the future is always up to us. Our ancestors went though tough times, too - far tougher, in fact. And if we lack courage, lack ambition, lack determination,... well, we probably deserve the kind of future we're going to get.
