I don't have facts to back this up, but I never expected Sarah Palin to run for the presidency. Heck, she couldn't even stick out a full term as Alaska's governor!
No, this was always about the money. As a celebrity, she needed to keep herself in the limelight. And that extra million dollars in SarahPAC will probably come in handy, too.
The only reason she might have even considered it is if she saw America's attention going elsewhere. After all, if you've got such loons as Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry running for president, why would the media still need the Palins?
Regarding Herman Cain, well, "I don't have facts to back this up" should be the new Republican Party campaign slogan.
