Atheist Debates: an interview with Jamila Bey

This is the first video in the Atheist Debates Patreon project, and it's excellent, it really is. It's laugh-out-loud funny, in parts, and always entertaining.

After this, I really wanted to watch Jamila Bey in a debate, but I couldn't find anything on YouTube. There are excerpts from her talks, but no debates, not that I could find. Too bad.

OK, so she's "no longer a card-carrying member of the Christian right," but there's no indication that she's abandoned Christianity, or even that she's no longer a Republican.

There are hints that she has more progressive views now - although almost anything would be more progressive than what she was - but she's also "fiercely defensive" of her friend who seems to think the Democratic Party is controlled by demons.

Maybe I missed something, but I was disappointed when the article ended without getting to where White has ended up now.

And what is she doing now? She's certainly done enough damage over the years (helped, anyway). Is she working now to help fix that? It doesn't sound like it.; August 26, 2014 at 8:38 AM
