Sometimes, you have to wonder if there's any hope for us, don't you? Here's Detroit, a city in desperate need of help. But many people are so distrustful of government that they won't accept even a free bridge from Canada.
Yet, on the other hand, they're so gullible they'll push this issue for a billionaire who owns the only existing bridge to Canada and doesn't want to see the end of his monopoly. Incredible, isn't it? How do we get mindsets like this?
Now, Prop. 6 did fail to pass, so maybe there's some hope for us. And the Daily Show itself gives us reason to hope, I'd say. But still,... you really have to wonder, don't you?

PS. I wanted to post more clips from last night's show - about HSBC (Bank Wankers) and AIG (Ingrateful Basterds) - but enough's enough, don't you think? Especially since I'll be posting clips from the Colbert Report, too?
