Nothing will stop conspiracy theorists, though. Barack Obama could have put bin Laden's head on a pole and planted it in the White House lawn, and the conspiracy nuts still wouldn't have believed it.
Heck, we still have loons who think the Moon landing was faked! And the crazies who believe in a vaccine/autism link certainly haven't gone away. You just can't satisfy some people with evidence.
In fact, according to this poll, 55% of Republicans still think that Barack Obama wasn't born in America, or else aren't sure, despite the release of that notorious "long-form" birth certificate. So I have absolutely no problem with dumping bin Laden's body in the sea (except for the chance that it might poison our oceans).
