That was clever and tightly written. I wonder if Whedon wrote it, or a professional script writer. I also wondered if that was his house. It seemed too modest for a Hollywood guy.
But the polls are looking bad. We might have to prepare for the zombie apocalypse.
I don't think the polls are too bad - Obama still has the lead in Ohio, and he should carry Wisconsin and Iowa. That should be enough to give him the election.
I'm a little bugged by the nationwide polls showing Romney with a lead, but the state polls look better.
I also think it's a good sign that Romney is telling even more lies - I think they know they're losing, and are pulling out all the stops in desparation.
In any case, we'll all know in a week.
Yes, I suppose Romney is desperate, but he's been telling lies right from the start. That's nothing new. Remember their attitude about fact-checkers? I'm getting pretty frustrated that non-stop lying is still working for him.
From what I read (at TPM), Romney has pulled even in Florida by convincing voters that the Republicans will defend Medicare from the Democrats! How ignorant would you have to be to believe that?
And in Ohio, Romney's lies have been so blatant that even the auto industry is speaking out about it. Well, he's behind in Ohio, but with lies like that, why is it even a horse race?
More and more, I have to wonder if we Americans even care about what's true and what isn't.
