Overwhelming cowardice

I blogged about this yesterday, but I do like how TYT puts these things.

Cenk Uygur: "The idiot, weak, cowardly Democrats participated in killing a program that not only helped a great deal of Americans, but also registered the poor to vote - and, let's be honest, the poor are more likely to vote Democratic, OK - and helped destroy an organization that did not intend to help them, but had a side-effect of helping them. And they helped bury them for no reason, because of their overwhelming cowardice."

It goes without saying that Republicans did recognize that ACORN helped the poor and, in particular, the minority poor, and that those people would not be voting for the GOP. If ACORN had helped millionaires and billionaires - or even just white farmers in red states - it would never have been targeted in the first place.

Certainly, if such an organization had been targeted, Republicans would have stood up for it. They may be insane, but they don't seem to be nearly as cowardly as the Democrats.

I don't agree with Cenk Uygur about everything, and while I love some of their people (Ana Kasparian and John Iadarola, for example), I think TYT needs to clear out the deadwood on their show. But they can really hit the nail on the head, can't they?
