Funny, don't you think? I especially like how Jessica Williams points out how this Republican remains dogmatically ignorant when it comes to other issues. "Mostly, you're still not susceptible to reality." No kidding!

But just because he's had some slight insight into immigration - and make no mistake, that is admirable, for all she's making fun of him - he's now called "traitor" and, um, "excrement" by his fellow conservatives.

Oh, well. To tell the truth, I can't tell if he's really that clueless or just a good sport - probably both, I suspect. But it is funny.

I always wonder if politicians who appear in these things realize how they are going to turn out. Surely they know by now that they are just going to be the butt of jokes if they go on the Daily Show. But this guy seemed to be having fun and playing along.

Wouldn't you go on the Daily Show if you could? :)

This guy did seem to be a good sport about it, but I suspect that he expected praise for his change of heart on immigration. And so he should,... in moderation.

But the fact that he still believes every other loony thing on the right, despite the abuse he's taking from his fellow conservatives, makes him fair game.

He moved a tiny step forward, that's all. He needs to realize that and recognize that there's still a long way to go.
