How do you know?

That was a particularly funny one. The last line might have been funner if he said, "I'm the son of God! And God! And the Holy Ghost!" I always found it confusing that Jesus was God, and the son of God.

Yeah, Jim, that's the problem when you have to reconcile myths with the desire to hang on to monotheism. You have to create some really weird logical structures.

It reminds me of the increasingly elaborate models Christians built to explain our solar system while still keeping everything revolving around the Earth, as the Bible indicated. When you're not willing to accept the simple, but unpalatable, facts, you can end up with some bizarre rationalizations.
