Jon Stewart had a particularly good show last night, he really did. So I just had to post this clip, too.

Yes, Donald Trump is back! Man, that's great for comedians, isn't it? Herman Cain has dropped out. Michele Bachmann is down to single-digit poll numbers. Even Rick Perry has lost his celebrity status, at least outside of Texas.

Sure, we've still got Newt Gingrich, but how many grumpy old man jokes can you make?

But now, the humor will continue, at least for a little while, at least until the Republicans completely destroy our country.

However, knowing how mercurial Donald Trump is, maybe I'd better post my favorite Trump quote now. This is by Alair Townsend, a former deputy mayor in New York City: "I wouldn't believe Donald Trump if his tongue were notarized."

I'm hoping age prejudice by most of the voters will keep Gingrich out of the white house. Also, lots of Republicans hate him.

I don't know about age prejudice, Jim, but Gingrich is apparently most popular, by far, among the elderly. And the elderly vote. Just something to keep in mind.

And the fact that many Republicans dislike him won't matter in the slightest, once he gets the nomination. They tend to be absolutely hysterical about Barack Obama, so they'll still turn out and vote.

But I got to hope that the 65+ crowd will fear his attack on SS and Medicare. Also, Obama did draw in more young people last time. I think McCain was hurt by his age.

It's hard to believe anyone would vote for Gingrich.

Then again, George W. Bush got elected twice.......
