"Newt Gingrich is a life support system for bad ideas." No kidding!
Really, for as long as Mitt Romney has been running for office, you'd think he'd be better at this, don't you think? It's not as though Gingrich isn't a huge target.
Of course, it's Romney's $10,000 bet that's getting all the press, and that wasn't very smart, either.

PS. Note that, in his third segment last night, Stewart admitted that he was wrong last week about Congress meeting on Christmas Day for most of its first 67 years.
Actually, he just showed a clip from the History Channel which made that claim, but it was still wrong, apparently. In reality, according to PolitiFact, the House and the Senate each met only once on Christmas Day during that period.
I've edited my previous post to add that correction. It doesn't invalidate Stewart's point about the so-called "war on Christmas," but it's important that even comedy shows be accurate in their claims. (But it's a pretty sad state of affairs when you can't trust the History Channel when it comes to history, don't you think?)
