If you know anything at all about U.S. history, it's absolutely hilarious to hear two guys named O'Reilly and Goldberg whine about losing "traditional America" - as Jon Stewart demonstrates here so very well.
My own ancestors, some of them, were Irish, so I've heard the stories. (I'm really surprised that O'Reilly hasn't. But then, it's Bill O'Reilly, so who knows what's going on in his head?)
There were riots - actual riots - when Irish Catholics started arriving here in large numbers. Oh noes, it's the end of "traditional America"! But, despite people like Bill O'Reilly and Bernie Goldberg, America survived the Irish and the Jews.
And I hate to tell O'Reilly this, but blacks were here long before his Irish ancestors arrived in America, and long before Goldberg's ancestors arrived here, too. (Most of them, at least. There were Irish, Jewish, African, Spanish, and many other people right from the start, not to mention the people who were already here.)
And there were plenty of Hispanics already in this country, too, if not especially abundant on the East coast where the new Irish and Eastern European immigrants first arrived on their mission to destroy "traditional America."
This is not just bigotry, it's asinine bigotry. It's hilariously stupid bigotry. Then again, most bigotry is, isn't it?
But yeah, these people on Fox keep setting new standards for hilariously stupid, don't they?
