As God is my witness...

Here's another one that's too late for Thanksgiving. Oh, well, too bad, but I thought it was hilarious.

If you don't get the joke, I guess you've just lived a sad, sheltered life, haven't you? But this might help:

That was a classic episode of a really funny television show, wasn't it?

Thanks for that. I've heard of WKPR but had never watched it before. So many great old shows.

Ah, you youngsters! :) But yes, it was a very funny show. I highly recommend it.

"They're hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement"

That's the single funniest episode of a network sitcom of all time. Even after seeing it as many times as I have, I can't help but laugh.

"It was like the turkeys mounted a counter-attack...."

WKRP wasn't the best show ever, but it did have some great characters. Dr. Johnny Fever was one of the best, along with Les Nessman.

Newsradio was the equivalent show of my generation. Did either of your ever get into that one?

Never heard of it, John. After checking Wikipedia, I remember seeing the characters, but I don't think I ever watched an episode.

Of course, it's been a long time since I watched much television - before home computers, basically.
